Lost in the Fog
She wears outdated clothing, and a prominent gold cross around her neck. Her face is distorted and hard to actually see. If you look too long, the room around her seems to warp and bend. In fact, it seems to do that if she stays in one place too long. She has a house in Bloomsbury, where she entertains artists and intellectuals. She’s not considered to be a respectable woman at all, but societal censure seems to roll off her the way light does.
The Autumn Queen is merely called “Black Alice”. She wears outdated clothing, and a prominent gold cross around her neck. The word is that she used to be a prostitute, that she used to be a nobleman’s daughter, that she raised herself up out of the muck of the Thames one Autumn night when the moon was full. That she eats children.
Whatever the case, she is a powerful soothsayer. and if you can meet her price, she can give you a powerful luck charm, or weave a tapestry of ill fate around your enemies.
She became the Autumn Queen just this past fall, and seems to embrace it as her due.
